Reason why the coach chose this athlete: Kiana was our #1 player this season, playing consistently great. We would not have placed second in our league without her leadership throughout the season. She won DAL First Team All-League honors, just 3 points shy from the league's MVP. At the NCS D2 tournament she qualified for the NCS D1 Championship Tournament.There she shot a 86, outplaying all other girls in our DAL Division, included the division's MVP.Kiana is a 4.3 GPA, she will definitely achieve NCS Presidential Scholar hnoors.She volunteers as a math tutor at CVCHS and at the Clayton Community Library.It is an honor to have coached this amazing young lady.
Reason why the coach chose this athlete: Jenna is a team captain and team player.She works hard at practice and has played great golf in league matches.Her sense of humor and personality keeps her teammates loose during matches.

Reason why the coach chose this athlete: Kiana has been our most consistent player this season and with a great round in the the league tournament earned herself All League honors and a place in the NCS playoffs. Our Co-Captain has worked hard all reason not only on her golf game but in school as well maintaining a high GPA throughout the season. Kiana is a wonderful representative for our school on the course and off, always enjoying her time in the course and ready to put in the work necessary to succeed.

Reason why the coach chose this athlete: Junior, Jenna Fassio, has demonstrated leadership on and beyond Clayton Valley Girl's Golf Team by being a stellar team captain and setting an example for new and returning players. Jenna shows up to every practice with a positive outlook, ambition, and an overall welcoming and friendly attitude. In addition to this, Jenna volunteers her Saturday morning to help coach children for Contra Costa County's First Tee program at Boundary Oaks Golf Course in Walnut Creek. While proving herself on the course, Jenna also thrives in the classroom as well -maintaining a 3.5 GPA. Jenna has consistently show herself to be an amazing student athlete and role model for teammates, peers, and children within the community.
